Does Ext4 use inodes?
To enable ext4 to store extended attribute values that do not fit in the inode or in the single extended attribute block attached to an inode, the EA_INODE feature allows us to store the value in the data blocks of a regular file inode.
How many inodes are in Ext4?
One of the important changes in EXT4 is that inodes are now 256 bytes, as opposed to 128 bytes as they were in the EXT2/EXT3 days. That means there are 16 inodes per 4K block in EXT4, so the 8192 inodes per block group should occupy 512 blocks at the beginning of each group.
Does XFS use inodes?

What happens if inode limit is reached?
Once the inodes limit is reached, your account behaves in the same way as when the disk space limit is exceeded. Basically, you won’t be able to create/upload new files, receive emails, write data in the MySQL database, and your cPanel will show errors as no temporary files can be stored on your account anymore.

How do I increase filesystem inodes?
