We had a great experience at Monument Valley Tribal Park national park- Impressive sights ! But be advised as others have pointed out – you need a 4 wheeled drive SUV or truck to drive around the Valley Road !

Do you need AWD for Monument Valley?
If you were to change vehicles it’s not so much about 4wd as it is clearance. If you stay on the paved roads there really would be no need for a 4×4 or high clearance either. If by chance you run into a storm along the way in the higher elevations would be your only concern.
